Distant longing

The day brings with it
a pal of gloom, that only
my heart can feel and
my eyes can see through

She is far from me, and
there is nothing more
to this, than the distance
that, separates our lands

I wake in the morning,
thinking of her waiting,
to hear from her now,
and the day ends waiting

I don't know how or since
when, I started to long her
and waited for her absence
to take me, my mind over

I don't wait for her skin
nor for her face or hair
or any other parts of hers
except arms to embrace

My love for her has no
beginning nor an end
it lives endless in these
moments that pass without

My love for her will wait
even after she is past
her prime and is growing
old with each passing day

My love for her will wait
for us to sit down, next
to each other, holding
our hands and talking

Till then my heart suffers
through these days of
gloom; sorrow of being
in love with distant soul
