I was not yet done,
admiring her beauty
when the great lamp
extinguished, vanished
leaving behind a trail
of small flickery light
and vast silvery pan
in which she does hide
I was not yet done
drinking from river
when it merged in sea
leaving me thirsty
with saline water
to hold in my hands
yet unable to bring
it close to my lips
I was not yet done
breathing her fragrance
when a gush of wind
blew spring away
leaving fertile earth
without any bloom
barren, dry cracked
with saline tears
admiring her beauty
when the great lamp
extinguished, vanished
leaving behind a trail
of small flickery light
and vast silvery pan
in which she does hide
I was not yet done
drinking from river
when it merged in sea
leaving me thirsty
with saline water
to hold in my hands
yet unable to bring
it close to my lips
I was not yet done
breathing her fragrance
when a gush of wind
blew spring away
leaving fertile earth
without any bloom
barren, dry cracked
with saline tears
