I am sad tonight, but i could not cry
for your love that existed in me,
in my heart, deep within, now and forever
could not be wasted in those tears

yes, you are not next to me, now
and that pains my heart, my being
but then I still hold you in me
for you always have been there

since am on this earth

yet again the leaves are falling
and path is littered with withered leaves
but i tread on, holding you in heart
after you are long gone, far distant
where my sight does not reach
but this wind, this moon and stars
are there too with you each night
passing my love each moment
long after you are gone,

I stand across the seas
looking past the distant horizon
waiting for you to reappear
walking towards me on that ocean
for that one lingering kiss
on my cold half open mouth
and closing my eyes last time
with your hands, soft, tender
so that I carry these feelings
with me when I go away
