Autumn is still far

Love, Autumn is still a bit far
leaves are green from last spring
even though there are few clouds
today the sun shines on us bright
I need to see your smiling face
cause all life I know is in you
but you are sad and worried
and so is my life and breath

you worry about yellow leaves
which fell from trees last Autumn
but then came along spring
and branches are green again
let me take the crumpled leaves
and wash them in that cold river
to let the saddness drain down
and see you smiling once again

Love, let me walk with you
and together we will chip away
at all that is, that worries you
and see you, see us, smile again
Love, let me lay my head
on your lap when this is done
and caress my head again
